SURRENDER PROCESS If you have a dog you need to surrender, we may be able to help. We do understand that sometimes there are situations beyond control that make it impossible to keep our beloved companions, and this is a tough decision for any owner to make. If you have made the decision to surrender, please contact us as soon as possible and complete the Intake Form located below. Our surrender process is not complicated, and we will guide you through the steps. We cannot stress enough the importance of honesty in your communication with us. We realize there are behavioral problems specific to Dobes, and does not rule out acceptance into our program. We need to know as much as possible about your dog so that he or she can be placed in the proper home. We cannot accept aggressive dogs or dogs with any previous bite history into our rescue. You will be required to complete an owner surrender form. Our rescue and foster homes are dedicated to homeless dobermans, and we do not long-term foster for owners that want dogs back. If that is the case, please contact a boarding facility. If possible, a donation to help defray expenses is greatly appreciated. This is not a requirement, but it is appreciated since we are a non-profit organization and function solely on donations. Why choose rescue? We care about what happens to your Doberman and want to ensure a healthy, happy environment for every Dobe we can assist. We complete a detailed process, including background check and home visit prior to any adoption to ensure every Doberman is placed in a loving forever home that provides the environment right for each individual dog. To start the surrender process, please complete the on-line Surrender Form - please click here to start the process and complete the Surrender Application: http://www.drawi.org/forms/ To reach someone by phone, or if this is an emergency, please call 920.450.4176.
